Who is Attorney Gopal?
I am an immigrant. I came to this country with nothing but a dream and the will to earn it.
I studied, I struggled, I passed the bar exam. I built my law firm from the ground up. I found love, I got married, and I became a proud father.
I am not a politician. I am a family man, a neighbor, and a pet lover. That is the American dream, and I lived it right here in Alameda County.
I have sat across the table from families terrified that ICE will knock on their door. I have walked with clients who were attacked simply because of how they look. I have watched hardworking small business owners lose everything they built because organized crime moved in and nobody stopped it.
I believe the District Attorney's office should reflect the people it serves, with empathy, fairness, and an unwavering commitment to justice.
My Priorities

Alameda County's immigrants deserve to feel safe, not targeted. I will ensure no cooperation with unlawful ICE operations and end profiling based on appearance, accent, or origin.
